It is proving to be a long road back to the top for the New York Rangers who are currently rebuilding from the ground floor up in order to become a powerhouse again.
And, as they approach the latter stages of this rebuild, it would make sense for the Blueshirts to study the Boston Bruins blueprint.
After all, the Bruins have been a relevant force in the National Hockey League for a considerable amount of time now, making the postseason in all but two of the last twelve seasons dating back to 2007-08.
They won the Stanley Cup in 2010-11 before making the Stanley Cup Final again in 2012-13, although they failed to qualify for the playoffs in both 2014-15 and 2015-16.
