With unrestricted free agency looming for Chris Kreider there was much speculation that he would be trade bait when the off-season began. New York Rangers President John Davidson put a bullet in those theories when he said he expected Kreider to be at training camp.
While Davidson’s statement didn’t indicate how the team felt about re-signing him, it was fairly definitive in addressing the near future.
“I totally expect him to be in camp, it’s hard to make promises. Things change, but Chris is a valued member of the New York Rangers and I look forward to him having a great camp and a great run with us.
