Sweet revenge, other takeaways from Vegas thriller

After being dismantled by the Knights at Madison Square Garden last Monday, it was roles reversed at T-Mobile Arena on Sunday as the New York Rangers got some pay back with a 5-0 blowout win.

However, it wasn’t as straightforward as the final figures on the scoreboard suggests, with the Golden Knights having outshot the Blueshirts 38-25.

Vegas absolutely dominated the first nine minutes of the contest, but they couldn’t find a way past Georgiev who stopped all 38 shots flung at him.

That heroic performance between the pipes gave his teammates the best chance to win the game, an opportunity they seized with both hands.
