Riveters shine in All-Star Weekend

The Riveters’ seven All-Stars shined in Pittsburgh in front of a sold out crowd yesterday.

After the Skills Competition, where Rebecca Russo won fastest skater honors, Team Kessel started yesterday’s game with a 3-2 lead in the score.

“It was very fun– walking out, seeing all the people, hearing people cheer for everyone,” said Buffalo’s Harrison Browne. “There are people that want to watch the game. It shows good promise for women’s hockey moving forward.”

The All-Star Game was two 25-minute periods with four-on-four play and the Riveters players on both Team Kessel and Team Steadman were big factors in an 11-10 final score.
