The second NWHL Draft will take place tomorrow and the Riveters will have the first overall pick. A year ago the Riveters had the first overall pick in the 2015 Draft and Dani Rylan selected Alex Carpenter. New York eventually traded Carpenter’s rights to the Pride for Harvard forward Miye D’Oench and cap space.
Who the Riveters take in the first round and then at the top of the second round will be something to keep a close eye on. With so much investment and talent on the revamped blue line, it would not be surprising to see the Riveters go for Dani Cameranesi from Minnesota.
