Report: New York Rangers trade Julien Gauthier for Tyler Motte

The New York Rangers are reportedly trading for Tyler Motte per Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun.

Soon after the report, the Senators announced they acquired Julien Gauthier and a conditional seventh-round pick in 2023 in exchange for the gritty forward.

The condition is as follows: If the Rangers get to the second round of the playoffs, the seventh becomes a sixth-round selection (acquired from the Winnipeg Jets).
