Rangers win in OT, take commanding 3-1 lead

PITTSBURGH—To steal a line from Rangers coach Alain Vigneault, they can’t all be Picassos.

Certainly that was the case with Game 4 of this first-round series against the Penguins on Wednesday night at Consol Energy Center, a game ripe with icings, missed passes, good defense and good goaltending. And going down to the wire, it was just another nail-biting playoff game.

Just the type of games the Rangers have learned to win. And so it was when Kevin Hayes scored on a goal-mouth scramble 3:14 into overtime, giving the Rangers a 2-1 win and taking a commanding 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series.
