Perhaps it’s for the best that I got lazy and didn’t get around to writing this week’s preview until Monday night. Luckily, Dave is a pretty lenient boss. Originally I intended to dive into the simmering David Quinn debate for a few paragraphs before briefly looking ahead to this week’s slate of games against the Flyers and Bruins. Then the Artemi Panarin leave of absence from the Rangers story happened, so you’re all spared my Quinn takes… for now.
In a normal year, one of the NHL’s best players taking a leave of absence from the NY Rangers would qualify as Earth-shattering news.
