The last time that the New York Rangers won four games in a row was 13 months ago, Oct. 14-22, 2024. That winning streak began with a home-ice victory over the Detroit Red Wings. And on Sunday at Madison Square Garden, the Rangers try to extend their current winning streak to four, when they host the very same Red Wings.
Perhaps there’s a bit of synergy in that. Or more likely it’s just a coincidence. More importantly, the Rangers are beginning to win games consistently again and have the look of a playoff contender after missing the postseason in 2024-25.
