At this point, the Rangers will take the single point.

Yet the Blueshirts remain winless for five straight, registering a 3-2 overtime defeat at the hands of the visiting Coyotes on Tuesday night at the Garden. The game-winner came on a sharp-angle shot from Christian Dvorak early in the three-on-three extra period.

The Rangers (2-4-1) came in having not won since the second game of the season Oct. 5 in Ottawa, and they continued to struggled with puck management and defending for much of this one. Meanwhile, the Coyotes (5-2-1) of Derek Stepan, Antti Raanta, and Michael Grabner, were surprising the league with their stellar start, based on stout defending.
