Rangers sign goaltender Dustin Tokarski to one-year deal

The Rangers, who have had a quiet summer in free agency, signed goaltender Dustin Tokarski to a one-year contract, the team announced Monday.

Tokarski, 28, has played in 34 NHL games over parts of six seasons with the Lightning, Canadiens and Ducks, posting a 10-12-5 record with a 2.84 goals-against average, .904 save percentage and one shutout. He made his NHL debut against the Rangers in a relief appearance for the Lightning in January of 2010, and in 2014 he played five games for Montreal in the Eastern Conference Final after the Canadiens’ No. 1 goaltender, Carey Price, was injured in Game 1 of the series.
