The Rangers added another cheap one year contract, signing defenseman Erik Gustafsson to a one year contract with an $825k cap hit. Unlike Connor Mackey, Gustafsson is a legitimate defenseman with solid numbers.

Gustaffson is a fine option if Zac Jones isn’t ready to make the jump.
