The NHL Network ranked the top five moves of the offseason. Rangers selecting Alexis Lafreniere first overall was listed at number five. Alex Pietrangelo signing with Vegas was top of the list followed by Taylor Hall to Buffalo, Jacob Markstrom to Calgary, and Torey Krug to St. Louis.

“I think this kid is going to be a REALLY good player in this league,” Michael Ruff explained of his ranking. “It might take a little time, but I think what he can do and the players he has potential to play with on the New York Rangers…every year this team dials it up a little bit more and I’m expecting this addition to help them be even better then they were this past season.
