LOS ANGELES — California dreaming?
Not really. Call it California hoping.
In their first foray into the Golden State after a loss in Denver on Saturday afternoon, the Rangers dropped a 4-2 decision Sunday night to the Kings, who had lost six straight games.
After taking a 2-0 lead in the first period at Staples Center, the Rangers bent, and broke. The Kings stormed back with three power-play goals in the first 10:22 of the second and the Blueshirts surrendered the second straight game on this four-game road trip. They still have a gantlet to run, against the Ducks and Sharks later this week.
