Rangers Ryan Lindgren out; Gallant doesn’t think it’s serious

New York Rangers defenseman Ryan Lindgren is out of action for the team’s game against the Los Angeles Kings on Sunday. Head coach Gerard Gallant also added that he didn’t think the injury was serious.

Igor Shesterkin was also confirmed at the starter for today’s contest. For his career against the Kings, he’s 3-0-0 with a 1.96 GAA, and a .949 save percentage.

In addition, the Rangers recalled Ryan Carpenter to play on the fourth-line and loaned Jake Leschyshyn to the Hartford Wolf Pack. The move saves the Rangers a few bucks ($16,667) as they continue to accrue cap space for the eventual trade involving Patrick Kane of the Chicago Blackhawks expected this week.
