GREENBURGH – Honesty is the best policy, and the Rangers are being honest with themselves.
After five games, they’re 3-2, but the truth is they could be 1-4, maybe even 0-5. They found ways to win their first three games, despite having some very rough stretches, to say the least, in each, then lost their last two, scoring just one goal, including a 3-0 loss in Montreal Thursday.
“You can fool yourselves if you find a way to win a game,” said struggling Rangers captain Ryan McDonagh. “You feel good about yourselves. But then there’s the last two games where it comes back to bite you and cost you a victory.
