New York Rangers' defenseman K'Andre Miller insists the spitting incident that occurred in Sunday's game with Los Angeles Kings' defender Drew Doughty was "completely accidental."
Miller took to Twitter on Monday to share his side of what happened the night before, when he earned a match penalty and was ejected from the game against LA late in the first period for spitting in Doughty's face.
"I have all the respect in the world for Drew Doughty and what happened was completely accidental," Miller wrote in a statement posted to Twitter.
