Rangers find a new way to let the Kings break their hearts

Modal Trigger

Mika Zibejad skates off the ice after the Rangers' 4-3 overtime loss to the Kings on Monday.

It wasn’t quite as hard to swallow as the 2014 Stanley Cup final. But once again, the Kings managed to inflict some pain on the Rangers.

After holding a one-goal lead with under a minute to play in regulation, the Rangers ended up losing 4-3 in overtime to the Kings on Monday night at the Garden.

The game-winner came just 25 seconds into the three-on-three extra period. Right after Mika Zibanejad hit the post, the Kings went the other way for a two-on-one and Tyler Toffoli beat Henrik Lundqvist to give his team the win.
