One of the things Rangers coach David Quinn says often, regarding his team’s younger players, is that perhaps the biggest thing they have to learn is how to find ways to feel good about themselves, even when they’re not scoring goals. He’s said it often about Kaapo Kakko, the 18-year-old rookie the Rangers took with the No. 2 overall pick in last summer’s draft, but the premise applies to the other youngsters, too, like Filip Chytil, the 20-year-old who was their second first-round pick in 2017.
