On August 10, more speculation surrounding who would be named the next captain of the New York Rangers came to the surface.
This is because The New York Post's Larry Brooks released his column on who President and General Manager Chris Drury should name as the next captain. As expected, Brooks' story heavily mentioned J.T. Miller as a result of how much he proved himself after coming via a trade sending center Filip Chytil, defenseman Victor Mancini and a 2025 conditional pick to Vancouver back in January.
In fact, Blue Line Station even previously wrote of both how and why Miller deserves to wear the C on his jersey.
