These blown leads are becoming a problem now.
At least when they blew the lead on Friday, the Rangers were able to get a loser’s point for their efforts. They weren’t so lucky this time.
Playing the second of their two-game series in Pittsburgh against the Penguins on Sunday, the Rangers took two leads, lost them both, and then lost, 3-2, in regulation when Jake Guentzel scored with 1:31 left to complete the Penguins’ two-game sweep of the Blueshirts, who fell to 1-3-1.
