In a very surprising move, the Rangers have done nothing as the expansion draft trade deadline passes. All signs were pointing to the Rangers making at least one move, given the contracts to Brett Howden and Julien Gauthier, coupled with the spare defense protection slot. There is no official word yet, but it is over 30 minutes past the deadline. It’s unofficially official in my book, and I have somewhere to be in 20 minutes. If I get Old Takes Exposed, then oh well.
This doesn’t mean Chris Drury wasn’t trying. It may be that nothing was out there for the taking.
