CHICAGO — This was not the first time this season, nor will it be the last, that the Rangers were drastically outclassed by the opposition’s talent.
Yet the hope remains they can stick with the top-tier teams just enough to give themselves a chance to win. Which is what they did for most of Thursday night’s game against the Blackhawks at United Center — but it still wasn’t enough.
The Rangers lost, 4-1, opening their four-game road trip on a bit of a sour note.
