The size and skill are there, but Morgan Barron doesn’t want to rush it. Neither do the Rangers.
That is why the 6-foot-4, 210-pound center is going back to Cornell for his junior season this fall rather than joining the Blueshirts at training camp. After battling a sore throat earlier in the week, Barron got on the ice Thursday in Stamford, Conn., for his first taste of prospects camp and was quite impressive in the scrimmage while centering the star of the camp, Vitali Kravtsov.
“I don’t know if there’s a time frame on it, to be honest,” Barron said of turning pro.
