Rangers announce new Director of Player Personnel / Amateur Scouting

The Rangers have hired John Lilley as the new Director of Player Personnel and Director of Amateur Scouting, per Vince Mercogliano. Lilley replaces Gordie Clark, who is still with the Rangers as a professional scout.

First on Clark, he has been with the Rangers since 2002-2003 as a professional scout. He was promoted to Director of Amateur Scouting in 2005, and Director of Player Personnel in 2007. He is the longest tenured Rangers front office member aside from Glen Sather. Clark, who is pushing 70 years old, will take on a smaller role with the Rangers as a scout.
