The Rangers aren’t done yet, agreeing to terms with forwards Gregg McKegg and Danny O’Regan. McKegg, 27, spent last season with the Carolina Hurricanes/Charlotte Checkers. He put up 6-5-11 in 41 games with the Canes, and 6-17-23 in 31 games with the Checkers. The 6′, 200 lb lefty center is likely insurance/depth at the NHL level, possibly a good candidate for 13/14F.
O’Regan, 25, has spent most of his three year career in the AHL, amassing just 25 NHL games (1-4-5). Last year with Rochester, he put up 20-28-48 in 70 games. O’Regan is likely Hartford bound to help the transformation of the AHL club.
