Barclay Goodrow, who will become an unrestricted free agent on July 28, won the Stanley Cup with lightning last week. The 28-year-old skated in 55 games with Tampa Bay this past season, registering six goals and 14 assists for 20 points, along with a plus-16 rating and 52 penalty minutes. He also recorded six points (two goals, four assists) in 18 playoff games.
In the deal with Tampa Bay, the Blueshirts sent a seventh-round draft pick in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. The 6-2, 203-pounder has skated in 331 career NHL games over parts of seven seasons (2014-15 – 2020-21) with San Jose and Tampa Bay, registering 32 goals and 61 assists for 93 points, along with a plus-13 rating and 304 penalty minutes.
