Springfield Thunderbirds 2, Hartford Wolf Pack 0
Springfield, MA, February 1, 2020 – Ryan Bednard stopped all 28 Hartford Wolf Pack shots for his first AHL shutout Saturday night at the MassMutual Center, as the Springfield Thunderbirds defeated the Wolf Pack 2-0, in the second of three straight games between the two teams.
The Wolf Pack had downed the Thunderbirds 6-3 the night before in Hartford.
Jonathan Ang scored for Springfield early in the first period, and Dryden Hunt early in the third. Matt Mangene assisted on both.
“I thought we did a lot of good things in the second period, and if we would have played throughout the game like we did in the second, I think we could have won,” Wolf Pack head coach Kris Knoblauch said.
