The Edmonton Oilers are in the middle of a coaching change, having fired head coach Jay Woodcroft after the Oilers dismal start to the season. Per Frank Seravalli, the Oilers are likely to hire Kris Knoblauch as their next head coach.

Knoblauch was in the running for Rangers head coach before they hired Peter Laviolette. The decision wasn’t popular at the time, but has since turned out pretty nicely for the Blueshirts.
