Moments ago, the Rangers announced that the team has assigned forward Lias Andersson to the Hartford Wolf Pack. In addition, the Rangers have recalled forward Tim Gettinger to the Rangers.
As has been mentioned numerous times, Andersson has been getting very limited minutes for most of this season while with the Blueshirts. Andersson played a measly 3:55 in last night’s loss to the Panthers and has averaged just 9:33 in TOI during the 2019-20 campaign. Andersson has been tasked by David Quinn to do more to warrant increased ice time, but when you only play a handful of minutes a night on the fourth line, it can be hard to do so.
