The Rangers close out their west coast trip in Vancouver, looking to play a full 60 minutes and stay out of the penalty box. The Canucks are very top heavy, but still dangerous in their own right and sitting pretty in a wild card spot with a positive goal differential. It’s only a matter of time before they pass Edmonton in the standings, and could be as soon as tonight.
As for the Rangers, they’ve been inconsistent with their efforts, but the process, minus the penalties has been relatively better. Their expected goals differential is improved at even strength, but that doesn’t mean much if they can’t stay out of the box.
