Bob Boughner takes over as head coach. He was last the head coach of Florida from 2017-2019, putting up a combined record of 80-62-22 (or 80-84).
San Jose has had bad goaltending for a few years now, but the kicker this year is they are also one of the worst teams in expected-goals rates (yes, the Rangers are still worse by far), so their process wasn’t overly great either.
