NY Rangers agree to terms with Matt Robertson on entry level contract

The Rangers have been busy with late moves, this time signing defenseman Matt Robertson, their second round pick (49th overall) to a three year ELC. Robertson was a bit of a surprise late cut from camp this year, but it’s clear the organization is happy with him. It’s rare they sign rookies to ELCs this soon after their draft year, especially when they aren’t first rounders.

Robertson, who will turn 19 in March, will play this season out with the Edmonton Oil Kings. The lefty defenseman will probably get a long look in camp next season.
