BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Now that the preseason is over for the Rangers following Saturday’s game against the Islanders here, there are just a few details left to take care of before Wednesday’s regular-season opener on Wednesday in Washington against the Capitals.
One of those is to finalize the 23-man roster, of course, which has to be submitted to the NHL by Monday. But there’s another item on the agenda that is of interest to folks: They have to name a captain.
