The 2018-19 New York Rangers featured one of the youngest rosters in team history. There’s no reason to expect next season to be any different. Going into the season there was no doubt that Filip Chytil and Lias Andersson would make the varsity, along with Neal Pionk. Tony DeAngelo was also pretty assured of a roster spot as he had to clear waivers to go to the AHL.
The big surprise out of training camp was the addition of 20-year old Brett Howden to the big league roster, jumping directly from the WHL to the NHL with only a five game cup of coffee in the minor leagues.
