New York Rangers should target Vegas’s Vadim Shipachyov

The New York Rangers have a problem with center depth this season. The trade of Derek Stepan and lack of use of Filip Chytil has exposed this issue even further. However, there is one player who may be on the market that can solve the Rangers center woes.

During the summer, the Vegas Golden Knights signed KHL star Vadim Shipachyov. The 30-year-old was expected to be the team’s top center. Despite this, Vegas’s collection of non-waiver eligible defensemen forced GM George McPhee to relegate Shipachyov to the AHL.

Like most Europeans, Shipachyov’s desire was to play in the NHL.
