New York Rangers’ Pavel Buchnevich Earning Spot in Lineup

Related Topics: Pavel Bure, New York Rangers

Pavel Buchnevich has had a tumultuous rookie season in the NHL. After a blazing start, he missed 32 games to injury. In the time that he missed, his spot on a line with Rick Nash and Mika Zibanejad was held by many different forwards. (That is, when the rest of that line was healthy as well)

One of the aforementioned forwards was fellow rookie Jimmy Vesey. Throughout the season, Vesey has looked like a much more polished, two-way player compared to Buchnevich. However, Buchnevich is a much better offensive player.

Following his return from injury, Buchnevich played on the fourth line, producing nothing remotely close to his early season total.
