Rumors are precisely that, rumors. The Kevin Hayes to Winnipeg rumor has been around for a while since they are in dire need of reinforcements on the third and fourth lines. Last season they picked up Paul Stastny as their second line center and were able to move Brian Little to the third line. They’d like to do that again.
The return for Stastny was a 2018 first round pick, a 2020 fourth round pick and prospect Erik Foley. The Jets are definitely in a win now mode so a similar return for Hayes could be possible. Lately, defense prospect Sami Niku’s name has been mentioned.
