In The Top Ten Sophomores to Watch in the 2015-16 NHL Season, Bleacher Report listed New York Rangers‘ Kevin Hayes at number seven.
He may not be Johnny Hockey, but Hayes is definitely one of those players who could make headlines this year.
The 6’3″ 205 pound forward has obviously been a phenomenal addition to the Rangers, but it didn’t always look that way. As a rookie, Hayes’ NHL career was off to a rocky start. He looked unsure on the ice trying to adjust to New York’s system. After a while, though, the 23-year-old has gotten a handle on things to say the least.
