The 2018 NHL entry draft very well may have been the turning point in the New York Rangers’ rebuild. Taking winger Vitali Kravstov at number nine overall was an off the board pick that seems to have turned out well. But, the Rangers’ selection of University of Wisconsin defenseman K’Andre Miller may prove to be the key.
It’s no secret that the New York blue line was the team’s fatal flaw the previous two seasons. Many of the players on the roster excel at one area of the game but are not well rounded enough to be depended on in crucial situations.
