It has been heavily documented that this is arguably the most important draft in New York Rangers history. At the moment, the Blueshirts have three picks in the first round. If they want to succeed in this rebuild, they need to hit on these picks.
This year’s NHL Entry Draft appears to be one of the deepest in recent memory. With great depth on the wing and on defense, the Rangers’ two biggest areas of weakness, there is no doubt that there will be great players available when the team goes up to the podium.
With that said, there will also be quite a few players drafted in the first round that won’t do much at the NHL level.
