The New York Rangers entered play in the Traverse City Prospect Tournament on Friday evening with heightened expectations. They featured a stacked roster, including top prospects like Lias Andersson, Filip Chytil, Brett Howden, Libor Hajek, and more.
They opened the tournament against the Dallas Stars’ prospects, including super-prospect Miro Heiskanen.
The Rangers got off to a fast start, as Chytil was all over the puck in the early going. Several good saves by the Stars’ goaltender kept the game tied, until the Rangers got their first power play of the night.
The Rangers top unit—Chytil, Andersson, Howden, Hajek, and Ville Meskanen—was dynamite.
