For the NHL fan, the middle of July seems like an abyss. Especially in the case of a fan of a team like the New York Rangers that totally missed the playoffs.
It’s been more than three months since the team last stepped onto the ice on the seventh floor of Madison Square Garden. In addition to missing the playoffs, the team set itself up for the future with nine draft picks in the first three rounds of the draft.
Now, the next year will be key to whether or not the Rangers get back to the playoffs during the 2019-2020 season.
