For whatever reason, David Quinn can get the New York Rangers ready for games against the San Jose Sharks. After beating San Jose earlier in October, Quinn’s team was able to once again eke out a victory against one of the league’s best teams. It took the shootout, a stellar performance from both Chris Kreider and Henrik Lundqvist, but the team got the job done.
Things did not get off to a great start for New York as Norris Trophy winner Brent Burns opened the scoring a shade over three minutes into the first quarter on a slap shot from the circle.
