As expected, Mika Zibanejad has been awarded the Steven McDonald Extra Effort Award. As Colin McDonald noted, Zibanejad came to the rink with a smile on his face daily, despite the poor team results. As for Zibanejad, he enjoyed a career year, putting up a line of 30-42-72 with three games left this year. This is a well deserved honor.
