Per Mollie Walker, Matthew Robertson will be on the top defense pair tonight in Queens. Robertson will be with Jacob Trouba as Peter Laviolette looks to see what exactly he has in Robertson and if he is a viable NHL caliber player right now. Interestingly enough, Robertson is a defense-first player, and this may actually help Trouba and unlock his much better offensive abilities. Ideally it’s Lindgren-Trouba, but putting Robertson there tonight shows he’s getting a look with an actual NHLer.
