Mats Zuccarello is giving his current team a major boost, and he’s on the verge of doing the same for his old team, too.
The former Rangers winger has three goals and seven assists in 12 games for the Stars in the Stanley Cup playoffs, bringing them within one win of the Western Conference finals. Zuccarello and the Stars will take on the Blues in Game 7 in Tuesday night in St. Louis, with the winner set to advance to meet the Sharks or Avalanche in the next round.
“It’s a Game 7, anything can happen,” Zuccarello told reporters in Dallas after a 4-1 loss Sunday.
