Lias Andersson scores in his first game with Hartford Wolf Pack

Sending Lias Andersson to Hartford caused a minor uproar among New York Rangers fans. The former first round draft pick is headed to the AHL for the fifth time in three seasons. Whether the reason was mishandling or lack of opportunity or just an inability to play in the NHL, his demotion generated a lot of controvery.

The one common reaction was the hope that this stint with the Wolf Pack would benefit Andersson as much as it did for Filip Chytil. Chytil was assigned to Hartford at the start of the season where he excelled and since his return to New York he has scored six goals in nine games.
