Kevin Shattenkirk out indefinitely with knee injury for Rangers

The Rangers announced on Friday morning that defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk will be out indefinitely with a meniscus tear in his knee.

Shattenkirk will undergo surgery on his left knee on Monday. He has been getting treatment on the knee all season.

Shattenkirk, 28, is in his first season with Rangers after signing as a free agent last season. He has five goals and 18 assists in 46 games.
