DENVER – Kevin Hayes’ inability to play because of a flareup of an upper body injury suffered three weeks ago removed any question of whether Jimmy Vesey’s banishment to the press box would continue for a second game. The left wing who sat out Wednesday’s 7-2 loss to the Penguins was back in against Colorado, playing on the third line, with center Brett Howden and right wing Pavel Buchnevich.
Coach David Quinn was asked what it was that he was hoping Vesey will improve on after his one-game exile.
“Just consistency in all… areas,’’ Quinn said. “One of the things we talked about is, our job is to make guys the best players they can be.
